Beginner Training Program
"Believe that you can run farther or faster. Believe that you're young enough, old enough, strong enough, and so on to accomplish everything you want to do. Don't let worn-out beliefs stop you from moving beyond yourself." - John Bingham
Our first information session for the beginner training program will be Wednesday, May 15 at 6:00 PM in the NOTC office. We are located at 1050 S. Jefferson Davis Pkwy, New Orleans, LA 70125 (the old Coca Cola building).
The second information session will be on June 19 at our Summer Series race at the City Park Festival Grounds. The session will start at 6 PM, one hour before the Summer Series race begins. Please feel free to stick around after the info session to enjoy the race and refreshments.
These programs will be for beginner and intermediate runners age 18 and older who would like to start a running program or improve on their current level of running. The first session will commence on July 3, and will conclude on August 17 at the NOTC's Anniversary Run in City Park.
The cost of this program is $20 for NOTC members and $30 for non-NOTC members. This program will include: 6 week training program, training performance shirt, water bottle, Saturday morning and Wednesday night run groups (we will talk about time at the meeting), 2-3 seminars providing helpful information on running-related topics.
Don't forget, the hardest part is showing up! You got this!
