NOTC Teams at the Relay for Life
The Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's signature activity. It offers everyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people from all walks of life have fun while raising much-needed funds to fight cancer and raise awareness of cancer prevention and treatment. NOTC has been very generous in sponsoring two teams for the Relay for Life of Metairie, held March 27, 2010. Team captain Liz Lotz heads up the NOTC team and Troy Gardner heads the Chuggers of NOTC. Upcoming Races and Club Information
Great St. Charles Avenue Roadrace
March 21. One of New Orleans most exciting roadraces returns after a long hiatus. Start and finish is in front of De la Salle High School with post-race festivities with the school fair. Look for detail soon on website and printed entry form.
Reminder: NOTC Headphones Policy
The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at all club races. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, the New Orleans Track Club encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of all club events.
Running headphone-free allows opportunities to develop camaraderie with your fellow runners and walkers and enjoy everything the race has to offer. Important information including pre-race instructions, instructions or warnings from officials on course and at the finish line area often are not heard by participants with headphones on. This creates a safety hazard for the individual with the headphones on and all others around them. Runner safety has always been, and will continue to be, a top priority for our events. Please be mindful of the other participants and respect the race officials to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone.
O! Say Can You Sing?
If you have a good voice and would like to sing the national anthem at upcoming races please contact the NOTC Race Director at racedirector@runNOTC.org.
