Brendan Minihan, Jr. posted the fastest time in over 20 years at The Wall-30K Louisiana State Championship. The three time winner (2002, 2004, 2005) ran a personal best in a time of 1:45:35 to claim the State Championship. Not since Kent McDonald's 1:41:34 back in 1983 had their been a faster time in the race. Minihan was ahead by over a mile at the finish. In the womens race, Allison Moll captured the state championship with a 2:13:40 time also more than a mile ahead of the next closest female finisher. Cool temperatures, overcast skies and light winds made for good times for all. Thanks to Phidippides Sports in Metairie for being the presenting sponsor.
