Benefiting St. Mary's Residential Training School

The NOTC celebrated its 49th Anniversary with 1 Mile and 3 Mile races held in City Park, New Orleans. The brutal heat didn't stop Nick Accardo from winning the 3 Mile race in 15:51 and Lauren Jewett winning the female division in 20:53. This year's Anniversary Race was labeled "Run for Autism" and benefited St. Mary's Residential Training School. The historic City Park Peristyle provided protection from the sun after the race as participants enjoyed red beans and rice courtesy of Chef John Folse and Coors Light from Crescent Crown.

Past NOTC presidents in attendence included (left-to-right): Geoff Rose, Bobby Turner (representing Terry Turner), Billie Sloss, Charlene Brinkman, Ed Fleischmann, Larry Fuselier, Al Briede III, Don Brinkman, Ken Mire, Ken Vicknair, and Mario Lara.

After the race three NOTC scholarship grants were presented to Jared Allen, Hunter Hidalgo, and Kevin Kirchner.

Thanks to all sponsors, NOTC volunteers, and St. Mary volunteers for making this another successful NOTC race!
