The angels in the heavens were smiling down on the Angels on Earth Foundation when the rain stopped just in time for the running of the RiverShack 2 miler. The clouds parted and runners enjoyed a much cooler than expected run from the RiverShack Tavern to the Huey P. Long bridge and back for red beans and rice, CiCi's Pizza, bananas, CheeWees, and Michelob Ultra. After the awards ceremony the runners were entertained with a fire works display and then dancing to The Mustard Brothers Band.
The New Orleans Track Club thanks the RiverShack Tavern for hosting the event which benefits Angels on Earth Foundation. This year Holy Rosary Academy of New Orleans was chosen to receive the proceeds from the race. Also, many thanks to all the volunteers and runners for coming out and making this a successful event.
