5th Annual Back to the Beach Walk/Run

Back to the Beach Festival Race Results

The Back to the Beach Festival Race was held on the Lake Pontchartrain jogging pathway in Kenner, near the festival grounds. A field of approx. 400 participated in the Half-Mile and 2 Mile races. The 2 Mile was won by Zachary Shuler in 10:20 and Santilla Victorian in 12:20. Post-race festivities inside the festival grounds featured Rockin Dopsie, Jr. & the Zydeco Twisters followed by the Bucktown All-Stars. Proceeds benefit the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation.

Note: Due to a course turn error the Half-Mile course was actually about 0.45 miles long.
