27th Annual Ole Man River Race Results

A field of over 900 participated in the 27th Annual Ole Man River Half-Marathon and 5K. The new location and course in City Park and the Tad Gormley Stadium finish was greeted with excitement by the runners and walkers. Kevin Castille won the half-marathon by a wide margin with a time of 1:09:15. The women's half-marathon field had 4 finishers at under 1:30:00, with Santilla Victorian leading the group at 1:26:12. A highlight of the race may well have been the runners' pancake breakfast put on by the Rotary Club. The pancake machine cranked out 1000 per hour, plenty to go around for everyone in attendance. Proceeds benefit the Wheelchair Foundation. The Rotary Club of the New Orleans International Airport was the sponsor coordination group.
