Great Spillway Classic Race History
The 3 mile course is rated on a 0 to 10 scale. A 0 rating indicates a dry course with no hazards; a 10 rating indicates a course with a lot of standing water, mud, a slippery surface, and hazards.
The New Orleans Track Club would like to recognize the following runners that participated in the first twenty-four Spillway Classics: Don Brinkman (former NOTC President), Phil Gioia, John Johnson, and Gerald Lyons. The tradition is continued by Don and Phil who completed the twenty-fifth annual event in 2012.
