In training for the Rock 'n' Roll New Orleans Marathon and a Crescent City Classic qualifying race. Commemorative awards to all finishers. The 36th Annual Larry Fuselier Race is open to all runners and walkers, NOTC members and nonmembers alike.

Date and Time

Saturday, January 28, 2012
7:00 AM – Race day registration and packet pickup opens
7:30 AM – Mandatory early start for 25K walkers
8:00 AM – Start of 25K and 10K races
8:05 AM – Start of 2 Mile race

Location

The race starts and finishes at the Audubon Park Fly.

Parking

Free parking is available on the Audubon Park Fly (across the railroad tracks).

Course

The Larry Fuselier Race course runs on the Mississippi River Trail, a paved path atop the east bank Mississippi River levee. The course starts and finishes where the path enters the Audubon Park Fly.

Aid stations with water, Gatorade, and portable toilets will be located at two mile intervals along the course.

Scoring and Results

The Larry Fuselier Race will be timed and scored using Chronotrack D-Tags. Your race bib will have the timing tag attached; remove the tag and attach it to one of your running shoes as per these instructions. You will not be scored if your tag is not worn properly. Full results will be published on the NOTC web site within one week of the race.

T-Shirts

T-shirts will be distributed on race day. Preregistered participants may pick up their shirts beginning at 7:00 AM. Late and race day registrants may pick up their shirts after the start of the 2 Mile race. You must have your official race number with T-shirt tab to receive a shirt. Shirts not picked up on race day must be picked up at the NOTC office within thirty days of the race date. Contact the office to make late pick-up arrangements.

Refreshments

Post-race refreshments include food from Louisiana Pizza Kitchen, Kentwood Springs water, Michelob Ultra beer provided by Southern Eagle Sales and Service, LP, and fresh fruit.

Registration

Registration is open to NOTC members and nonmembers alike. All participants must be registered and wear an official race bib while on the course.

10K and 2 Mile Races

Family registration is available to preregistered NOTC member families only and includes registration for two adults and other family members age 17 and under living in the same household. Separate entry forms are required for each family member. Family registration includes two T-shirts; additional T-shirts are available for family members for $5.00 each.

Mail to New Orleans Track Club, PO Box 52003, New Orleans, LA 70152-2003 with payment by check or credit card. Fax to 504-304-2327 with payment by credit card only. Entries must be postmarked or received by January 22, 2011. Race numbers may be picked up on race day.

Race Day Registration

Race day registration will be available at the race site starting at 7:00 AM. Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card. Credit card must be presented.

Headphone Policy

For your safety and the safety of others the NOTC and the RRCA discourage the use of headphones during the running or walking of the event.
