Parking

Parking is available at several nearby lots. Arrive early for best parking options.

  • Tad Gormley perimeter lot (inside stadium)
  • Paved lot on Marconi near stadium entrance
  • Paved lot inside City Park near Storyland between Victory and Dreyfous

Please do not park on the neutral grounds of Marconi Drive or Roosevelt Mall. Your vehicle will be ticketed and/or towed if parked illegally.

Course

USATF-certified 5 mile course (LA10015JF) within City Park.

Awards

Awards will be distributed shortly after the race in the registration area. There is no duplication of awards.

5 Mile Awards

  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Overall Open Male and Female
  • 1st Overall Youth Male and Female (15-Under)
  • 1st Overall Master Male and Female (40-Over)
  • 1st Overall Grandmaster Male and Female (50-Over)
  • 1st Overall Senior Male and Female (60-Over)
  • 1st Overall Legend Male and Female (70-Over)
  • 1st Overall NOAC Member Male and Female
  • 1st and 2nd Overall Racewalkers Male and Female

Half-Mile Awards

Commemorative awards to the top ten male and female finishers.

Scoring and Results

The 5 Mile and Half-Mile races are manually scored. You will receive a scoring tag at the finish line with your place of finish. Complete the tag with your name, age, and finishing time and turn the tag in at the Results table. Full results will be published on the NOTC web site within one week of the race.

T-Shirts

T-shirts will be distributed to preregistered entrants beginning at 7:00 AM. Race-day entrants may pick up their shirt after the start of the race while supplies lasts. You must have your official race number with the T-shirt tab to receive a shirt.

Refreshments

Post-race refreshments include Kentwood Springs water, beer, Elmer's Chee Wees, and fresh fruit.

Entry Fees

  • $20.00 – All entrants registered by November 1, 2011
  • $40.00 – Family registered by November 1, 2011
  • $30.00 – All entrants registered after November 1 and on race day
  • $25.00 – No T-shirt option after November 1 and on race day

Family registration includes two T-shirts; additional T-shirts are available for family members for $5.00 each.

Mailed or Faxed Entries

Mail to New Orleans Track Club, PO Box 52003, New Orleans, LA 70152-2003 with payment by check or credit card. Fax to 504-304-2327 with payment by credit card only. Entries must be postmarked or received by November 11, 2011. Race numbers may be picked up at early Packet Pickup or on race day. See details below.

Race Day Registration

Race day registration will be available at the race site starting at 7:00 AM. Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card.

Packet Pickup

Early packet pickup will be available at Louisiana Running Company at 4153 Canal St. in New Orleans on Thursday, November 17, 4:00-7:00 PM and Friday, November 18, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM. Pick up your race bib and T-shirt and skip the lines on race day. Late registration will also be available at Louisiana Running Company during packet pickup hours.

Headphone Policy

For your safety and the safety of others the NOTC and the RRCA discourage the use of headphones during the running or walking of the event.

Volunteers Needed

Please consider being a volunteer. Volunteers receive a T-shirt and refreshments from our sponsors as well as the satisfaction of assisting the NOTC in fulfilling its mission to promote running and fitness in the community. Signup on our website or call 504-304-2326.
