The New Orleans Track Club Grand Prix Series is to recognize those club members who have consistently participated in club events and have performed well within their age division throughout the year. All members of the NOTC are eligible for the series and receive points per their division for each Grand Prix Series race. To be eligible for series awards you must participate in at least half of the series races. An awards ceremony will be held in January 2007 to present awards to winners in each division and series completion T-shirts.

Divisions: Open (39-Under); Masters (40-49); Grandmasters (50-59); Seniors (60-69); Legends (70-Over).
Points: 100, 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10.
In events of 10K distance and over points are awarded in the following amounts: 150, 135, 120, 105, 90, 75, 60, 45, 30, 15. Points are not combined. Should a participant run more than one distance on the day of race he or she will be credited with the race scoring the most points (not a combination).
1 point is awarded per event to members scoring points.
Your age at the end of the Grand Prix Series is the age you compete in throughout the series. Example: A participant currently age 39 turns 40 in September. He or she will be scored in the Masters Division (40-49) for the entire series.
All competitive Racewalkers must sign in prior to the race start (after official race registration for the event) at the Race Walker table. They will be issued special "Scoring Dots" that must be attached to the front of their race numbers and additional race numbers for on course judging purposes. Racewalkers that are disqualified on course by the judges will not be eligible for division points in that event. Points for Judging (for judging information, contact the Racewalker coordinators) are the average points for the first six races (not to exceed 100 points). Should there be GP race cancellations (remember Katrina!) the six race average will be reduced to half of the GP series held. Please contact the Racewalker coordinators should you have any questions.
Overall series awards will be presented to the top five (5) overall finishers in each division, subject to the minimum quantity of races participated in. To be eligible for series awards you must compete in at least half of the Grand Prix series races held during the year. The awards presentations are scheduled for late January 2007.
NOTC members are eligible for the 2006 GP Series T-shirt if they compete in all series races (regardless of points scored). Upon completion of the series qualifying members must notify the NOTC Grand Prix coordinators via mail, fax or e-mail. Please include shirt size with correspondence.
Now get out there and run or walk!
