NOTC Racewalking Clinic
Thank you NOTC racewalking family for your help with our clinic on Saturday, August 14th. Under the threat of rain and possible street flooding some of our participants left before the clinic started. We understood, it's New Orleans weather, remember? In spite of the weather we had a good clinic, stressing the rules, techniques and form.
Our own NOTC walkers gave hands-on demonstrations to our participants that were priceless. "Thank y'all's" go out to Pat Driscoll, Roxie Martinez, Anna Marie, Jane Phelps, Marie Merrick, and Bill Elrod. Judges Lisa Pitre and Isaac Knightshead, you did an outstanding job. Welcome new walkers Melissa, Amanda, and Elizabeth from Houma. Also, to our runners from our first clinic who had to leave because of the weather, we understand. Barbara, Twyla, and Carol, we will show you how to walk efficiently in a race when you tire, I promise. Our NOTC board member Steve Attaya who represents our walkers was so helpful to me in putting this clinic together. Thank you Steve!
